Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
Case Studies
CRA provides a comprehensive suite of services to organisations concerned about the impacts of climate change drivers on their businesses. From stakeholder analysis and strategy development to carbon accounting and energy efficiency programmes, CRA helps in the development and implementation of effective climate change programmes.
What is the benefit?
Organisations failing to evaluate the business risks of climate change and stakeholder expectations will incur negative business impacts. Increasingly, organisations are including climate change impacts in their business continuity planning, to ensure that they are prepared to adapt to changing climate patterns wherever they operate. Pressure from governments, investors and other stakeholders for mitigatory action (e.g. emissions reduction) is also persuading organisations to develop emissions inventories and implement reduction programmes. This is encouraging the assessment of options for alternative energy sources and low carbon technology, and the development of energy-efficiency initiatives.
Why CRA?
CRA has considerable experience of climate change strategy and mitigation. We work with our clients at all organisational levels and functions to develop strategies and solutions to the challenges posed by climate change. CRA also leads the development of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment’s (IEMA) guide on climate change mitigation for organisations.
CRA can support you in reviewing and refreshing environmental and sustainability strategy to address climate change, developing and improving management systems to drive the implementation of mitigation programmes, and designing specific energy efficiency and mitigation reduction initiatives.
CRA offers a 2-day Carbon (GHG) Accounting and Management training course, approved by the IEMA.
