Environmental management is an ever changing field of consultancy. The main drivers for corporate environmental improvement include increasing environmental legislation and guidance. For example, Defra has announced recently that mandatory greenhouse gas reporting will be introduced for UK listed companies from April 2013.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become an increasing focus of company operations with sustainability at the core of corporate (and government) policy. Environmental and Energy Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001; ISO 50001) are being developed and updated continuously to support a sustainable approach to corporate operations.
To provide one-stop sustainability consultancy services, CRA Europe has teamed with JRP Solutions, an energy management consultancy, and Loreus, an environmental software and training provider, to provide a full service approach to environmental management, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting and carbon management. A summary of the capabilities of each company is included below.

JRP Solutions is a specialist independent business with two key areas of expertise: Energy and Facilities. Since the late 1990’s JRP Solutions has built an impressive client portfolio that includes brands such as Coors, Ambrosia and Astra Zeneca who they have helped to reduce operating costs and improve environmental performance.
Working closely with a global power systems manufacturer, JRP Solutions has helped to reduce their energy consumption by over 29%, during a period when production increased by approximately 40%. In developing and implementing a Facilities outsourcing strategy, JRP helped one client realise cumulative cost savings in excess of £400m whilst improving the internal customer satisfaction rating from 43% to an impressive 91%.
What makes JRP really different is their pragmatic approach and focus on delivering tangible benefits to their clients reflected by their strapline ‘Intelligent Strategies and Practical Solutions’.

Loreus is a university spin-out company based at Nottingham Trent University. It has an outstanding record for providing high quality environmental software and e-training to a wide range of public and private sector organisations.
