This two day course will provide delegates with a broad understanding of the different environmental and other corporate responsibility issues and drivers faced by organisations and will equip them to develop strategies for addressing and managing those issues.

Aimed at managers and executives with limited experience of the business environmental agenda, this two day course will examine the various current and upcoming environmental and related national and international issues and challenges facing organisations operating in the UK and will provide guidance on strategies for addressing these issues.

The course modules will equip you with:

  • an understanding of the increasing environmental and social pressures on business and their likely political and market developments and implications
  • an appreciation of the technical issues underlying key environmental and corporate responsibility concerns, their drivers and potential consequences for business
  • awareness of the different, and often contradictory, expectations of stakeholders
  • approaches and tactics for addressing these expectations, from do nothing to current best practice, and understanding of the business benefits and disadvantages of the different approaches
  • benchmarks on relevant issues and actions currently being taken in your specific sector
  • capability to develop a corporate environmental strategy and the knowledge to communicate this to top management, staff and customers
  • a 'what next' action plan
