Brownfield Redevelopment Services
Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA) has been effectively performing "Brownfield Redevelopment" since before the term Brownfield was defined. The Love Canal project in Niagara Falls, New York in the late 1970s is often considered the initial catalyst in the worldwide evolution of brownfield risk management and development and CRA was, and remains, the environmental consultant on that project.
CRA has been involved in responsive and cost-effective remediation of hundreds of under-utilised industrial and/ or commercial properties across the world. Very often beneficial new end-uses have been an important element in the development of an effective remedial solution. Examples include turning a huge sewage sludge settlement complex into an industrial business park in Birmingham, a chemical manufacturing plant in the south of england into a mixed use residential and commercial development, and a 40 acre landfill into a commercial park.
CRA is creative in the sharing of the costs, rewards, and benefits of a redevelopment project and always works as a partner to our client.
