Case Study - Divestiture, France, Sweden, Italy, Germany and the United States

CRA was retained by AB SKF (SKF) to carry out a joint Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment of Ovako La Foulerie in Carignan, France. SKF wished to identify any relevant environmental concerns associated with the site as part of a divestiture programme. The study included the following activities:

• A desktop review of historical records and information
• Detailed review of Site operational records
• Interviews with Site personnel
• Site walkover and verification
• Collection of soil, groundwater and surface water samples
• Laboratory analysis of samples
• Interpretation and reporting of the results
  
  

CRA also summarised the environmental issues identified at seven sites in five countries as part of the programme.
