Senior Consultant - Geotechnical                   Location: Nottingham

Salary: £26k to £39k

Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA) is an international environmental consultancy, running European operations from a dynamic office in Nottingham.  Since the early 1970s, we have worked for some of the world's largest multinationals on projects ranging from global environmental management systems implementation to corporate sustainability report verification and carbon accounting.  We employ over 3,000 staff working in more than 90 offices worldwide.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Geotechnical Senior Consultant to work in our Land & Property Services team. The successful candidate should be innovative and looking to develop their technical and management skills. They should have a willingness to tackle any challenge and be eager to develop their career experience whilst working on multi-disciplinary, profile projects that always demand effective technical delivery.

Candidates should possess the following attributes and experience:

  • Strong academic qualifications, engineering degree qualified (or equivalent). Additional qualifications such as MSc, MEng or MA are beneficial but not essential;
  • Chartered/Professional engineer is preferred for any candidate to be considered;
  • Project management experience, a proven capability to deliver to deadlines and team leadership capabilities are essential to be successful in this role;
  • The successful candidate will be capable of operating as technical lead as well as team member, as the scope and range of project interaction alters accordingly;
  • Experience of working on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients;
  • Experience of site investigations and supervision, including geo-environmental desk study reports in order to identify potential geotechnical hazards;
  • Ideally the candidate will have experience in establishing project scoping, design, contractual or financial management;
  • Experience of working with a range of project stakeholders, contractors and clients.

The initial salary depends on experience. Further remuneration and individual development will be merit-driven. The employment package includes pension plan and private medical cover.
